Discussion on the second draft of amendments to the City of Fairfax Zoning Ordinance related to adopted Small Area Plans
1:03:18Paul CunninghamThat doesn't include Paul VI. That doesn't include discussion of Main Street and Burke Station Road, where we have a proposal to consolidate the commercial property and then use the space that's freed up to put in additional residential. What I am finding in this is that we have jumped wholeheartedly into the promotion of exceptionally dense, without being exceptionally outstanding, residential development in the city, which led to a statement I think I read a week or a month ago that said that Fairfax City is now the fastest growing jurisdiction in the state of Virginia. And what that means is that we're very small, so it doesn't take a lot for us to be a percentage leader. We're not in raw numbers going to threaten Fairfax County with a growth rate.
