Dustin Wrightstaffyou can find who the sponsors were and how it went through the process but all three of them have been carried over by the Senate Finance and Appropriation Committees and any further action on them will take place through the budget process so instead of being a bill desk. It'll be if if this comes to pass, it'll be through the budget process. It'll be an amendment in the budget process. In terms of timing, that budget work will begin on April 23rd. And the legislative outcome and final form of this, these proposals are still pending. In terms of how long that budget process can be, in some years it's been it's been a one day. So we might know something on April 24th, or it might be several days, depending on how much

and updates happen throughout the budget process. On our final slide, I just want to mention that as a city Fairfax Schools team and with our partners on the city government side, we'll continue to monitor the legislation and provide updates as additional information becomes available. I would like to thank one of my great colleagues, the city's chief financial officer, JC Martinez, who's here tonight. If there's any questions that are pertinent to his knowledge base, probably most of them. And with that, Chair Pitches, this concludes the presentation, and I'm happy to answer any questions.

Providence so staff members in the afternoon and community members in the evening those community meetings are virtual to try and make it as accessible as possible for everyone involved those have been published in the school newsletters but just want to take a minute to provide the plug here and then also we're doing lots of work with our our city council partners on the budget process which will go to a vote on May 5th over the past several weeks have tried to stay focused on maintaining strong visibility and connections across our schools in the broader community spending time in our buildings attending events and engaging directly with our students staff and families has been an important part of staying grounded for me in the work and

of fairfax schools 220 million dollar school modernization and facilities investment initiative that supports future-focused learning environments and long-term community investment in public education. So a lot of things that we've been doing are connected to this with the big capital projects at both of our elementary schools, and there's a lot of different things we'll try and do to meet that goal. And then finally, goal three is around strengthening communication and operational effectiveness to better support our school's student success and the community. So this is work on the budget process, providing the school board with updates throughout the year, potentially doing some long-term strategic planning.
