Paul Navteestaffwe have the 2024 Old Town Parking Study. This was done primarily to look at some redevelopment that's happening in Old Town and how it might affect parking. But in order for that report to be written, the consultant did a detailed analysis of parking and utilization in all parking lots around Old Town. So they shared that data with us and we were able to pull out some information to help us with this. The custom reduction that we are proposing is based on this information. I will explain the three uses here. For residential we are proposing a reduction in the numbers and you can see what those are. I won't go through them. For comparison's sake in the county parking reimagined study they ended up with an overall

And with the transportation demand management survey results we received from and the point in Camp Washington indicated utilization rate of about 1.0 parking spaces per residential unit. This is for the residential spaces only. Both of those have commercial components that are different. Now we're not trying to work towards the utilization rate. We like to have some buffer room but that's just a frame of reference. For retail, we have the county essentially has lower parking rates for retail than us but they also separate combine them and their restaurant rates are higher. So we're somewhere in between. The Old Town parking study had two shopping centers included that were useful for this that weren't necessarily in the core of Old Town.

That's Main Street Marketplace and Courthouse Plaza, both of which had a peak utilization rate of around 2 to 2.5 spaces for 1,000 square feet. and for reference Main Street Marketplace has 3.7 spaces for 1,000 square feet. Courthouse Plaza has 8.4. And lastly looking at office, we that same Old Town Parking study this one gave us some more significant numbers. The peak utilization found for the offices generally around Old Town and we excluded those that were in the core of Old Town that were likely dependent on shared parking and public parking but for other types of facilities it adds out to about 1.54 spaces per 1,000 square feet and this is when we separated out vacant space so that's 1.54 spaces of occupied office space in the old town area so the reason we wanted to not just
