Eric Formanstaffapartments and townhouses and apartments and senior living and then apartments and it finally got approved as apartments. Courthouse Plaza has been another one that's come I think on its second iteration. But these projects here, the next batch here have in fact received city council approval. So this one here was approved by council in 2024. This is on the grounds of the Willowwood office complex. For some reason it's now called the botanist, which is not what it was called when it was approved. I don't know. I don't know what to say. They've been talking about building another building on the other side of Willowwood. Maybe it will be called the anatomist. I don't get that one. We'll see. From everything I
before any kind of a final hearing. They may be withdrawn. We've seen cases of that occasionally. City Council does have discretion with all of these, so Council may approve them, Council may deny them. So I don't want to misrepresent these as being a sure bet. But that said, there's a lot of these pending applications. So I won't dwell on the details of these projects, but just for this discussion, you know, we'll talk about the general types of housing units that are proposed and the potential student impact. The one on the left here is proposed for part of the current Courthouse Plaza shopping center, so that's where Safeway is. It's a big development. It's over 300 units, but this is one of those where the unit mix is
I'd say about 40 some students. So these two applications have already been filed. So council is set to hear the Courthouse Plaza project in December and that gallery project, I think next month, maybe November, but I think next month. So these are imminent. I mean, some kind of a decision will likely be coming pretty soon on these. This is another one that's already been filed. This is Fairfax Square. Fairfax Square is the big apartment complex on Main Street. It has garden style apartments and townhouse apartments. There's also a commercial component to Fairfax Square which is on the, you know, closer to Main Street. So the site's owners are proposing to component and construct a project like it says here that's part apartments and part
You can tell it's a similar kind of footprint. The apartment building on the left, this is proposed for the intersection of 123 and 50 so kind of next to those north facts townhouses next to the Brightview senior living complex that we just talked about so 350 apartment units and I'd say about 40 students from that. The one in the center is proposed for an area right next to the courthouse plaza development. So that was the one we just talked about next to Safeway. So no renderings on that one yet but 280 apartments is what is proposed right now. Looks like a standard apartment complex so you know probably around 30 or so students from there. And on the right, this one is proposed for another side of the 123 and 50 intersection.
