Next item on the agenda is presentations by the public on any matter not calling for a public hearing. We do have one public hearing this evening pertaining to proposed zoning text amendments. ForemanstaffGood to see you. much. Good evening. This agenda item is a public hearing. It's for a series of zoning text amendments, and these cover several topics. So as you see here, the main topics include removing some of the restrictions pertaining to accessory dwelling unit occupancy, also reducing the need for certain types of businesses to apply for special use permits. And we also have other amendments and they help out with the administration of our ordinance, things that clarify inconsistencies, simplify the text or just correct typographical issues. James FeatherAny further questions or comments from the Commission? So this is a public hearing. We'll open the public hearing. If anyone from the public would like to speak to these zoning text amendments, you're free to do so at this time. Please come forward, state your name, and address for the record.

Work Session: Presentation of the 2025 City of Fairfax Fact Book

1:24:37

ForemanstaffSo hopefully this will be an enjoyable work session. Not that discussing zoning text amendments and new developments isn't enjoyable, but this is a little bit different. So we're taking a look at one of the publications that the city prepares annually, so the City of Fairfax Factbook. And I say hopefully it's an enjoyable presentation because we try to make the Factbook interesting for folks who like digging a little bit deeper into facts and figures, and we're always happy to share some of the new updated figures and information and charts with the Planning Commission. The Factbook is an effort. It involves a number of people on staff. So the three of us who put this publication together are all here tonight.
