Annual Planning Commission Report
The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2026–2030 is a multi-year municipal capital planning document covering infrastructure and facility investments. The process began in September 2024 when Superintendent Platenberg presented a draft to the School Board in work session, with the Planning Commission and City Council reviewing it through a series of work sessions from November 2024 through February 2025.

The 2035 Comprehensive Plan Implementation Guide is a living tracking document for the City of Fairfax that organizes action items, timelines, leads, and support roles for implementing the 2035 Comprehensive Plan and four adopted Small Area Plans (Old Town, Northfax, Camp Washington, and Fairfax Circle). It was developed post-adoption of the Comprehensive Plan, coordinated among city staff, and is updated on a recurring cycle — typically reviewed by the Planning Commission in mid-summer work sessions and again in winter as part of the annual report process, before being forwarded to City Council.
