Appointments to boards and commissions
4:37James FeatherIs there a second? Second. Second. Moved and seconded. Are there other nominations? Volunteers. Okay, we'll close the nominations, move to a vote. All those in favor of Mr. Coleman continuing in that role, please signify by saying aye. Aye. Opposed? And abstentions. Thank you very much, Mr. Coleman. That gets those out of the way. We have one other things that we must do at the beginning of the year and that's to review our remote participation policy. Turn that over to Mr. Napty.
Review Remote Participation Policy
9:09Paul NabtistaffThank you Chair Feather. We wanted to point out that there were a couple of changes to the code of Virginia this year that applied to remote participation policy for local boards and commissions and so in reviewing those there were a number require changes to the Planning Commission's policy, but there were two changes I wanted to point out that are in the draft markup that we sent to you that you'll be considering for adoption that results of that. The first is that the code now requires that the policy be reviewed every year, and so we added language there saying that the Planning Commission will review it at your first meeting each year, which coincides with when you do your other administrative issues.
Kirsten Lockhartmr. chair I move that the Planning Commission adopt the revised Planning Commission remote participation policy as provided an attachment one of the staff memorandum dated January 13th 2020 and it's presented herein by mr. Napty
