Consideration of a resolution to adopt the Affordable Housing Strategic Plan
20:09Billy Bateshamstering to some extent by the nature of the Dillon rule. but with that in mind I'm thinking about we have in some cases City Center West which I know is I think that's out there that's been inactive but when that was approved you're looking at I think it was technically considered nine stories due to there being a little bit of a dip to have the entrance to the parking garage above ground, but mostly is about seven to eight stories above ground, but the density there is a lot lower than the density that we see in some other projects, like on the other hand, Davies property, five stories along Chain Bridge, and then as you get over to university, it's subsided to four stories, but it's a bit more complicated than that
because you see a very steep grade change. and then you know additionally you see a lot of variation in terms of the amount of green space that's recommended versus the amount of you know the building footprint that's recommended in small area plan you know of course that's I know very rough not you know exact but But the Davies property, as an example, is much higher density, and that was recommended for approval by staff, but I believe for denial by a planning commission, but still both informed by the small area plan and comprehensive plan. and so I just want to make sure that you know we're kind of considering the nuanced nature of what certain densities and certain heights really look like
