Michael DeMarcopublic commentGood evening, Mayor Reed, Council, and staff. My name is Michael DeMarco, 10212 Scout Drive, Fairfax. I'd like to share a brief, realistic picture of what a typical day at the new Willard Sherwood Center could look like. In the morning, a young mother arrives with her baby for routine immunization and a nutrition consultation. She used to visit the old Joseph Willard Health Center, a 75-year-old outdated building with aging equipment. At the new center, she meets with a nurse, gets updated guidance on her child's nutrition, and leaves relieved that her family has access to modern public health so close to home. Another mother drops off her son at the little school, the preschool based at Sherwood.

Doug Coxpublic commentOh, good evening. Doug Cox, Perry Drive, Fairfax, Virginia. On the clock. Yeah, I already know people were talking to Willard Sherwood, but I'll just say next time you guys want to do a $55, $56 million project, maybe bring it to the voters for referendum or something like that because you've got two in the pipeline with the fire station and Willard Sherwood. That said, long ago I was looking at bicycling in the city, what the official policy is. And, man, as I start going down that rabbit hole, absolutely bewildered by the number of plans that we have in this city most of these weren't around 15 years ago which is probably why my taxes were a lot lower 15 years ago not sure why we have these
