Daniels Run ES
Daniels Run Elementary School (ES) is one of the City of Fairfax public schools included in a November 2024 bond referendum for capital renovations.
As of September 2025, the design phase was underway, funded by $3 million in returned CIP funds. Chair Pitches noted at the September 2025 Joint Work Session that a previously agreed roof replacement delay had caused costs to rise, and urged the Council to publicly commit to the bond and renovations before a contract award vote the following week. By May 2026, Superintendent Wright reported that the architecture and design teams had advanced into the next phase of the renovation project, with a community meeting on renovation and design having taken place.
Beyond the renovation work, the school has remained active: the Daniels Run Singers performed at a choral festival in January 2026, the School Board held a Work Session at the school that same month, and end-of-year student activities were underway as of May 2026.
