Summary

Gallery at City Center is a proposed mixed-use redevelopment at 4085, 4101, and 4103 Chain Bridge Road (later referenced as 4085–4117 Chain Bridge Road), being pursued by Christopher Land, LLC on approximately 2.52 acres. The project as initially briefed comprises approximately 257 multifamily units with amenities, 7,395 sq ft of retail, 26,391 sq ft of office space, structured parking, a proposed east-west road connecting University Drive to Chain Bridge Road, and a north-south pedestrian pathway. The project first received a pre-application briefing at the Planning Commission on January 27, 2025, followed by a City Council pre-application briefing on February 18, 2025 — both informational with no formal action taken. The project advanced to the post-application stage by mid-2026: the Planning Commission held a post-application work session on June 8, 2026, and the City Council held a work session on the proposal on July 7, 2026, also without formal action. As of the July 13, 2026 staff report to the Planning Commission, the project remains in active review with further work sessions anticipated.
