In full
Early planning included a public survey (results reported June 12, 2025) showing strong public preference for swings, followed by PRAB's selection of color option 6 from 12 options. To avoid increased costs, the equipment order was placed before the July 1, 2025 tariff deadline, and shade structures were added to the design mockups at that stage. The equipment experienced a back-order delay as of September 2025 but arrived ahead of schedule by October 2025, when installation began.
By November 13, 2025, the playground structure itself had been fully installed; fencing, walkways, landscaping, and new code-of-conduct signage were still pending at that time. No further dedicated update on the playground was recorded at the July 9, 2026 PRAB meeting.
