The city has developed a conceptual design for a pedestrian/bicycle connection between the Wilcoxon Trail and Draper Drive Park. This connection will utilize Fairfax Boulevard and Draper Drive. George Snyder Trail
The George Snyder Trail (GST) was a planned shared-use trail project (VDOT UPC 112816) in Fairfax City intended to improve multimodal connectivity. The project had received approximately $20.6 million in concessionaire (Transform 66 Outside the Beltway) funding, with a total budget of roughly $16 million remaining after prior expenditures.

Council reached consensus to proceed with a feasibility study of a proposed alternative alignment for the Wilcoxon Trail Extension (formerly associated with the George Snyder Trail project), funded by already-appropriated City funds, and to initiate public outreach on the updated concept.
