Other mentions

In full

The project was originally planned to close and begin construction in February 2025, but experienced a series of delays: the start was pushed first to mid-to-late March 2025, then to April 2025 due to permitting issues, and the City Council presentation on construction approval (originally set for April 1, 2025) was further delayed to April 22, 2025 due to budget issues. As of April 2025 the renovation was on hold, but by October 2025 construction was confirmed as underway. The substantial completion date has shifted over time — from September 2026 (as of March 2026) to October 3, 2026 (as of April 2026), and most recently to mid-October 2026 per a June 2026 transcript reference — with window restoration by a specialty craftsman in Ohio cited as the primary cause of delays.

A CIP submission for Old Town Hall FF&E replacement (tables, chairs, portable stage, piano, and A/V equipment) was made in early 2026, and Old Town Hall also hosts publicly accessible EV charging stations subject to a newly revised pricing structure adopted in early 2026.
