At the September 10, 2024 meeting, Councilmember Ross requested that the July 4th fireworks venue item — including the staff recommendation of Fairfax High School stadium — be placed on a future agenda for public engagement.
Councilmember Ross made all three motions at the December 10, 2024 hearing — for the Special Use Permit, the special exceptions (Resolution R-24-40), and the Certificate of Appropriateness — and voted yes on each. Ross also noted the stormwater management improvements that would result from the project as a point in its favor.
